If you’re arriving in Mechelen on Wednesday, we invite you to begin your conference journey at the official Welcome Reception, held in the historic Ridderzaal of Mechelen’s Town Hall. Participants will be greeted by Mayor Bart Somers, who will offer a warm welcome on behalf of the city.

This informal gathering offers an ideal opportunity to enjoy food and refreshments while connecting with fellow attendees, Horatio Board members, keynote speakers, and colleagues from Thomas More University of Applied Sciences and Netwerk Verpleegkunde, the Flemish professional association for nurses.

Want to continue the evening? Mechelen’s lively city centre awaits. Discover the many restaurants and cafés around the Grote Markt, IJzerenleen, and Vismarkt, and enjoy the city’s warm and welcoming atmosphere.

This networking event is offered free of charge with the support of the City of Mechelen. We kindly ask that you confirm your attendance via the registration form and arrive no later than 19:30.

Restaurant Groot Seminarie is a truly distinctive venue in the heart of Mechelen. Located almost literally beneath the iconic tower, it forms part of the Diocesan Pastoral Centre. While the site still conveys a sense of its contemplative past, the historic architecture is seamlessly complemented by contemporary facilities.

The culinary concept, curated by the Yumbel team, offers a diverse selection of Belgian classics alongside international dishes, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The drinks menu is equally varied, featuring an extensive range of non-alcoholic options, complemented by a carefully selected choice of house wines and local beers.
